Has our country progressed to the level of expectations?

 Even seven decades after Independence a large number of Indian citizens still live with mind of slaves. A large number of our brothers and sisters are landless. A large group of our children live in streets. A large number is without education. A large number of our beloved countrymen are living in pathetic surroundings. Still our leaders are working for their uplift! But no result. Why?
